On Monday, June 20, 1994, age 102 years. Wife of the late Stanislaw Trzepalka. Dear mother of Zofia Zielinski, Romuald and the late Maria and Kazimierz. Loving Babcia of Lucy Shepherd, Zenek Zielinski and 6 grandchildren in Poland. Great-grandmother of Nicole, Cody, Braedi, Kelsie and 15 great-grandchildren in Poland. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Church. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. Prayers Tuesday at 7 p.m.
In 1994, the government of Poland formally applied to become a member of the European Union. Ten years later Poland was accepted.
According to the monumental inscription, Jozefa was born 13 March 1892. The Polish Socialist Party began in 1892. That party ceased to exist during the Soviet era but is active today.
