REED, Eveylyn Margaret
Peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 1, 1996, in her 101st year. Evelyn Reed, beloved wife of the late George Reed. Loving mother of Bert Reed (June), Helen MacFarlane and the late Darragh, Kay Tod (Frank) and Neville Reed (Lynda). Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Doris Hill of Carleton Place. Will be sadly missed by her many friends and neighbours. "If you trust, you do not worry and if you worry you do not trust". Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Richard's Anglican Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. Reception to follow at Tubman Funeral Homes' Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
According to the Ontario marriage registration (1924 #023968), Evelyn Margaret Sheldon (daughter of Stephen T R Sheldon and Ann Hall Gillett) married George Reed (son of James Eli Reed and Rose Richardson) in Cochrane, 21 April 1924.
