In hospital on Sunday, October 4, 1981. Rosetta Boone, beloved wife of the late Alex Smith, dear mother of Rae of Ottawa and Bert of Toronto. Predeceased by a daughter, Erma Smith. Friends may call at Hulse and Playfair Central Chapel, 315 McLeod Street, after 12 noon Monday. Service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.

In the 1921 census, the household consists of Alex J and Rosetta and children Erma B and Herbert J Smith, in Wise Creek, Saskatchewan. The children were born in Saskatchewan, the parents in Québec.

The Smith household in 1916 Wise Creek includes Alex (age 29), Etta (34) and Erma (1).
