The death occurred in Ottawa of Lysander Bingley Cohoon, son of the late Mrs. and Mr. Edward Cohoon. He was born at Port Medway 21 December 1850, and died three weeks before his 102nd birthday. Mr. Cohoon went to Ottawa in 1903 and worked in the Department of Finance until his retirement in 1933. He was married at Bonne Bay, Newfoundland, to Miss Fanny N. Taylor who died in 1937. Surviving are two sons, Aubrey A. and Norman E. of Ottawa; one daughter (Belle) Mrs. M.E. Curtis of Bath, Maine. The funeral was held privately at Chapel Radmore Stewart Funeral Home, Rev.S.S. Milliken of the United Church conducted the service. Burial was in Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa.
According to the Methodist marriage registers for Bonne Bay, Lysander B Cahoon (age 31) married Fanny Taylor (age 22) in Bonne Bay, 21 December 1881. Witnesses to the marriage were Richard Shepard and C. P. Nicolle.
