Peacefully on July 30, 2000 at that age of 100. Predeceased by her husband Charles Euart Allen and daughter Patricia, loved mother of John (Agnes). Beloved "nan" to Debi Allen-Moore (Steve) and Chris. Great Grandma to Jessica and Garrett Moore. Many thanks and appreciation to the staff and volunteers of New Orchard Lodge for their compassion and loving care. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) after 1 p.m. Wednesday August 2, 2000 until service time in the Chapel at 2 p.m., with reception to follow. Memorial donations to New Orchard Lodge would be appreciated.
According to the Ontario marriage registration (1926 #032680), Marian Harmer McElhinney (daughter of Mark G McElhinney and Bertha Harmer) married Charles Euart Allen in Ottawa, 19 June 1926.
According to the Ontario birth registration, Marian Harmer McElhinney (daughter of Mark Gamble McElhinney and Bertha Harmer) was born in Carleton county, 28 May 1900.
