KNIEWASSER, Andrew Vernon, M.D.
Born in Havelock, Ontario, February 27, 1898, deceased, Ottawa, September 29, 2000. The family: Stella Mackenzie, Helen Graham Cooch (deceased 1976); Andrew Graham (Jacqueline), Bette Anne (Smith), Barbara Mae (Oakes); 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. For over 50 years, a legendary, remarkable doctor and a legendary, remarkable golfer as a life member of the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. He was tremendously proud of his three Holes-in-one, especially the last one at age 91 years. A longtime resident of Meech Lake, Quebec. Canadian Army 1915, Meds-21 Queens University. He was loved and respected by all and will be sorely missed. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue on Sunday, October 1, from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, October 2 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

According to the Ontario birth registration, Vernon Kniewasser (son of Andrew Kniewasser and Mary Gurley) was born in Peterborough county, 27 February 1898.
